Liam Karry (he/him)

Artistic Producer

Liam is the founding and current Artistic Director of Single Thread Theatre Company. He is a founding member of the Kingston Theatre Alliance and currently serves on the board of anARC theatre. Recent directing credits include: Unless, a site specific immersive experience produced in Bangkok, Thailand, and Collider, a live VR performance, which was co-produced by FOLDA and the rEvolver Festival in June 2021, and at Summerworks in 2022. His next project is PXR2024: a national conference on live performance within extended reality. This is Liam’s tenth season with The Kick & Push Festival.

Amanda Baker (she/her)

Festival Administrator

Amanda is a producer, theatre artist, and technologist based in Kingston specializing in immersive and interactive theatre. She holds a BAH in Computing and the Creative Arts from Queen’s, and a Master’s in Drama, Theatre & Performance Studies from UofT. She is currently the Associate Artistic Director with the Kingston Theatre Alliance, Treasurer on the Board of Directors for Kingston Arts Council, and a freelance bookkeeper with organizations like Generator and The Disability Collective. Recent work includes Quality Assurance for Cohort, Production Manager for Single Thread’s Virtual Ambrose, and Testing Lead for adelheid’s You Are Swimming Here AR experience.

B.C. Gorrie (he/him)

Associate Producer

B.C. Gorrie is an accomplished writer, director, and comedian based in Kingston, Ontario. With over a decade of production experience, he specializes in immersive and interactive theatre. In 2020, he co-founded 6 AM Productions, which has since produced over 400 events, garnering features in the Globe and Mail and on CBC. Recent works include Space Crime Continuum, Love in the First Degree, Y2Kaper, and Silver Scream. B.C. holds a Drama degree from Queen’s University and is pursuing Screenwriting and Narrative Design at George Brown College. A dedicated advocate for the arts, he is committed to enriching Kingston's cultural landscape and is excited to bring his expertise to his role as Associate Producer for The Kick & Push Festival. 

Brian Solomon (he/him)

Indigenous Curator

Multi-award nominated, winner and loser, creator B Solomon is of Anishinaabe and settler heritage, born in Shebahonaning on the North Channel of Lake Huron. As a creator his work is multidisciplinary, raw, challenging and full of spirit.  His commissions have ranged from community-rooted works with over 100 interpreters, solos in trees, to animated installations of landfill. His works have been presented and toured across Turtle Island and abroad. Since he was a teenager, much of Solomon’s work has been committed to community activation with a focus on the unacknowledged and underserved ones across the land.   He is passionate about helping people relearn the nature of their ancient bodies, and take back the space those bodies occupy as caretakers. Wilding (they/them)

Technical Director

Wilding, moved to Kingston in 2018. They are originally from Vancouver, bringing with them 25+ years of diverse experience in various creative fields; including TV, film, theatre, animation, and video games.

They are a talented performer, production manager, stage manager, and technician. Whether it's lighting, sound, stage design, or anything in between, they love being a part of the production process. They serve as a Board Member for Domino Theatre, are the Head Improv Coach at Holy Cross Secondary School, teach Acting for the Camera and a variety of Improv Workshops for both youth and adults at BottleTree Theatre, and are one half of Improv Comedy duo, ‘All-Inclusive Comedy’! They also collaborate with Calliope Collective, Kingston WritersFest, and Theatre Kingston.

Chip Wright (they/them)

Assistant Technical Director

Chip grew up on a farm outside of Toronto and quickly fell in love with theatre acting in school musical productions. Their first experience working as a theatre tech was in their highschool’s morning announcements televised broadcasting studio. 

Chip is excited to be a part of The Kick & Push Festival’s 10th season. They have loved being a part of Kingston’s theatre community.

Victoria J Marmulak (any pronouns)

Assistant Technical Director

Originally from Cape Breton, Nova Scotia, and raised in SK and AB, Victoria J Marmulak is an emerging theatre artist with a fascination for laughter's function and energetic exchange in live audiences. VJM grew up developing skills as an actor, singer, and musician before moving to Kingston in 2021 to study further at the DAN School of Drama and Music. VJM has since engaged with a multitude of production roles—most prominently directing, dramaturgy, and producing. Recent work includes directing The Anger in Ernest and Ernestine with Queen’s Theatre Troupe and assistant directing The Lancashire Lass directed by Tim Fort as part of the 2023 Watershed Festival. VJM is thrilled to be working with The Kick & Push Festival and to learn from the innovative work that the Festival is hosting this year.

Katelyn Luoma (she/her)

Assistant Production Manager

Katelyn Luoma is an emerging theatre artist originally from Thunder Bay, Ontario. A recent graduate of The DAN School of Drama and Music at Queen’s University, Katelyn is currently based in Kingston, where she works and practices as a Production Manager, Producer, Director, Theatre Technician, and Playwright. Katelyn has worked with many Queen’s affiliated groups, namely Queen’s Musical Theatre and The Barefoot Players, as well as other arts organizations including The Watershed Festival, Thousand Islands Playhouse, and The Kick & Push Festival. Katelyn first worked with The Kick & Push Festival in 2023 as an Assistant Technical Director and is excited to be returning to the Festival as an Assistant Production Manager for the 2024 season.

Bailey Laing (she/her)

Assistant Production Manager

Bailey is a Master’s student and soon-to-be graduate of the Department of Cultural Studies at Queen’s, where she explores the positive impacts of community-engaged arts on well-being. She earned her undergraduate degree from Carleton University in Art History and Psychology before returning to her hometown of Kingston. In addition to working with the Kingston Theatre Alliance and The Kick & Push Festival, she is also involved with Union Gallery and Kingston School of Art. Her research interests revolve around collaborative art-making, fostering community engagement, and developing intentional resources for artists. She is dedicated to supporting creative programming that champions inclusivity, diversity, and accessibility in the arts.

Andrina Cockerham (she/they)

Marketing Coordinator

Andrina is a musician, artist, and scholar, and a developing ethnomusicologist. They have recently graduated Queen’s University with a Bachelor of Music and will be continuing their education at Memorial University, Newfoundland in the Fall for a Master’s in Ethnomusicology. Last summer she was part of the Festival staff as one of the Marketing Coordinators and has had the pleasure of working along side Kingston Theatre Alliance members this past off-season. Andrina is very excited to be working with this team again and looks forward to what the upcoming Festival will bring to the Katarokwi / Kingston community!

Robert Herz (he/him)

Marketing Coordinator

Robert Herz is an aspiring artistic leader and marketing strategist excited to be returning for his second summer with the Kick & Push Festival. Currently studying marketing at Queen's University's Smith School of Business, Robert has established himself as an emerging creative and artistic administrator. He has held several roles, including Head of Props for The Last Night At The Cabaret Solitare (Dan School Major), Technical Director of The Prom (Queen's Musical Theatre), and was recently elected the President of Queen's Musical Theatre.

Robert hopes to continue growing alongside Kingston's artistic community and looks forward to playing a role in The Kick & Push Festival's 10th season!

Charlie Hensel (she/her)

Marketing Coordinator

Charlie is an aspiring performer and student originally from St. Marys Ontario. She previously graduated from St. Lawrence College’s Musical Theatre Performance program and is currently going into her final year of Queen’s BAH Drama. She is a trained dancer and found her love for theatre through performing, though she loves to get involved in all departments. She currently sits on the board for Queen’s Musical Theatre, and her most recent work includes Assistant Set/LighIng Design on Nine (SLC) and performing in The Last Night at The Cabaret Solitaire (DAN School Majors). Charlie is excited to be joining the Kick & Push team this summer!
