Now Hiring: 2025 Festival Staff

As we enter our eleventh year of operations, The Kick & Push Festival is looking to hire the following short-term employees to support our summer 2025 season. The 2025 season will take place from mid-July to mid-August in Kingston, Ontario.
I. Assistant Production Manager (3)
Tasks include: Attending, scheduling, and participating in production meetings, budget creation, upkeep, and management, front of house duties, acting as a liaison between festival administration, participating artists, production, and location staff before, during and after the festival, as well as assisting the Festival Administrator when needed.
II. Assistant Technical Director (3)
Tasks include: Working with technical theatre professionals, setting, maintaining, and striking streaming as well as a/v equipment, attending production and post-production meetings as required; procuring goods and services from vendors, assisting with load-ins, load-outs, safety measures, as well as assisting the Technical Director when needed.
III. Marketing Coordinator (2)
Tasks include: Assisting in the creation of two distinct marketing plans, one for the K&P and one for the KTA, unifying and archiving all existing soft and hard copy, advertising and publicity media for K&P, working collaboratively with the productions to assist in the creation of effective marketing plans and media for their shows, collaborating with marketing and branding professionals within the Kingston community on how to best position both the K&P and KTA brands in relation to existing cultural products, managing, scheduling and positioning K&P social media, as well as devising publicity events and happenings.
Note: while each role does have their own designated portfolio and primary area of focus, there are many tasks that will be shared across roles (such as front of house duties) given the size of the Festival and nature of the work.
Eligibility
These positions are funded through the Canada Summer Jobs Program. Applicants need to be between the ages of 15 and 30 years of age at the start of the employment period. They must also be a Canadian citizen, a permanent resident, or a person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act.
The Kingston Theatre Alliance is an umbrella organization that serves to support artist organizations and individual artists within the Southeastern Ontario region.

Salary: $21.65 per hour
Hours: 35 per week
Weeks: 8 weeks
